The Sleeping Lotus Hidden Bath & Sauna
This cute and cozy studio is within walking distance to Arcata’s Plaza with local shops and amazing restaurants, Om Shala Yoga studio, and Redwood Curtain Brewery. Humboldt State University is just a quick bike ride or two-minute drive away, and the Ma’leil Dunes are a fantastic adventure that’s just down the road on Samoa Boulevard. The Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary is less than a five minute walk down the road. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
The Space
The Front Porch offers a number of cozy studios nestled around a beautiful private courtyard. Crafted from salvaged redwood and other recycled materials, each space is uniquely designed to provide you with maximum comfort throughout your stay. Our close proximity to downtown and HSU makes getting around easy. Explore the town in style on one of our vintage community bicycles. Have a drink on the covered porch or relax by the pond. Snuggle up & Netflix. Whatever your reason for visiting Humboldt, stay with us and make yourself at home!
Guest Access
Enter the private courtyard through a coded gate. Unit #2 is on the right side of the property (to the right of the pond when entering the courtyard, second door). Guests have access to everything inside this unit, along with use of our bistro tables, and benches throughout the luscious courtyard. Please use the space, that's what its there for!
Other things to note
Our parking lot is secured behind an automatic gate and remotes are available for your use. It is a small parking lot and requires mindfulness to navigate. We have installed various safety features, but please park at your own risk.
Humboldt County requires a 12% short-term occupancy/bed tax (required from all hotels and vacation rentals in Humboldt Co.).
All of our units are NO SMOKING and guests will be charged $250 if evidence of cigarette smoking is found in the unit.
